Like all wildlife, different birds have different needs and if you wish to attract more birds to your garden then you should provide them with suitable places to nest and roost if you build it they will come in time .

Here are some Important facts to remember

If you are going to encourage more birds to your garden by installing nestboxes, then make sure they have enough food and water for them.

Don’t put boxes in full sun otherwise young birds will get over heated and dehydrated .

Help your birds out withnesting material by providing hair, sheep’s wool ,moss .

Some birds prefer to nest near to each other whilst others are territorial, bear this in mind when positioning your box for the bird you are trying to provide a home for.

When you are sure that your birds have fled their box, clean it out so      that it does not encourage pests- don’t use chemicals.
