The big advantage of
a DVR over a time-lapse VCR is the amount of video you can continuously record:
up to 332 hours (14 days) using a 120GB HDD (hard disk drive) or even longer
using the larger 500GB (recording times are variable and depend on recording,
resolution and frame-rate settings per camera installed). Featuring four
standard composite video inputs and one video output, this DVR is the ideal CCTV
system for small retail stores, homes or business premises. Integrated motion
activated recording also makes it ideal for discreet observation systems. The
motion detection feature enables you to select the area and adjust the
sensitivity of each camera. Note: This product is supplied without a hard
disk drive. You will require an IDE ATA-100 HDD. The larger the capacity you
install, the greater the recording time that will be available. The HDD is
mounted in a key-locked, removable caddy.
We have a range of specific
DVR hard drives, designed specifically for 24/7 video recording as the reduced
heat generation enables surveillance systems and PVRs to run cooler and longer.
Please note that these are not for use inside PCs (does not support data, only
video). They are supplied with a 5 year warranty: Order Code Description

Trouble Shooting Guide When using
Wireless Cameras with this item, it does not show the other cameras on separate
channels This is because although there may be more than one wireless
camera, the wireless receiver only outputs one video signal, hence it only shows
as one channel (so using a wireless camera kit will not give full 100% coverage
of each camera, due to the cycling of cameras on the wireless receiver)
Motion detection constantly triggering Make sure the motion
detection settings are correct for the area the camera is covering (such as,
aiming at a road with heavy traffic will constantly trigger the record – try
taking these parts of the screen off the motion detection using the settings
provided in the manual)
